US Bringing the 'A' Squad to Mexico

Yes! Coach Bradley has called out the big guns for the US side's World Cup qualifier in Mexico City's 100,000 seat Azteca stadium on Wednesday August 12th.

Roster for August 12 Game

Mark this on your calendar folks. This US side is like nothing we've ever had before. They beat Spain, the came within a whisker of beating Brazil (well, okay, maybe Brazil took it easy for the first half of that game), and they're looking to avenge the beatdown that Mexico laid on the US C Squad in the Gold Cup final last month. Oh, and the US has never won in Mexico's Azteca stadium, going 0-22-1 (that's right, 22 losses and one tie). To say that the atmosphere there is hostile would be a huge understatement: Mexican fans often chant Osama! Osama! Osama! when they play the US in these types of matches. The air is thin, the Mexicans are fast and desperate (currently in fourth place in the CONCACAF region), the fans are going to be screaming nasties all game, and I bet that the bar you watch the game at will have a few Mexicans all ready to gloat.

Game time: 1pm
Pre-game: Starts at 12:30 on ESPN, but they aren't airing the game. At least it won't be the Fox Soccer retards groaning about how the US Men's Team is a bunch of bums.
Game: To watch the game you need to switch to mun2 (403 or something on Comcast) or Telemundo. mun2 (That's pronounced "mundos" Gringo) will have english announcers for the game. I don't ask anymore.

I'll say it again: You don't want to miss this game!
